Prepaid programme manager and MasterCard company Access Prepaid Worldwide has joined with British Airways to launch a Multi-Currency Cash Passport.

The prepaid travel card is available to Executive Club members and gives the option to load up to seven different currencies, British Pounds, Euros, US Dollars, Australian Dollars, New Zealand Dollars, Canadian Dollars and South African Rand.

Members can reload their card online, over the phone or via mobile banking.

The exchange rate can be locked on the card and if members don’t have or have enough of a local currency on the card when carrying out a transaction, other currencies that have been loaded on can be used.

Head of loyalty at British Airways Ian Romanis said: "We are always looking at new and innovative ways to improve the service we offer British Airways Executive Club customers and are sure the Multi-Currency Cash Passport card will provide even greater flexibility when travelling overseas for business or leisure."

The card also allows club members to earn Avios points, receiving one Avios point for every £1 loaded onto the card.
