American Express will offer expanded travel benefits for consumer, business and corporate Platinum Card members, with an aim to enhance their airport experience.
Some of the benefits include complimentary, unlimited access to Wi-Fi hotspots provided by Boingo Wireless, and an application fee statement credit option for the TSA Pre programme.
From June 2014, the Platinum Card members who are enrolled under the Boingo American Express Preferred Plan will receive complimentary, unlimited access at over 700,000 land-based Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide in airports, retail and hotel locations for up to four devices.
Additionally, the Platinum Card members will have the option to receive a statement credit for a TSA Pre application fee or Global Entry programme application fee once every five years.
American Express travel innovation vice president, Gary Portuesi, said American Express is committed to offering a variety of travel benefits and services that further elevate every point of a Card Member’s travel journey.
"With enhanced benefits like the TSA Pre (TM) $85 statement credit option and Boingo Wi-Fi, American Express Platinum Card Members can save money and enjoy an easier airport experience whether travelling domestically or abroad," Portuesi added.
