Philippines-based BDO Unibank has selected FICO Falcon Fraud Manager (FFM) to help identify and prevent debit card fraud.

The adopton of FICO FFM is part of bank’s strategy to introduce internet purchases and protect ATM transactions for its customer base of more than 13 million.

BDO has already implemented the FICO FFM for its credit card business earlier this year and is now extending it to protect debit card users from fraud.

The FICO solution uses advanced neural networks to analyse cardholder account transactions in real-time to detect fraud.

FICO Asia Pacific president, Dan McConaghy, said by building its debit card program upon the industry’s most advanced fraud detection solution, BDO is backing its commitment to protect its customers so they can safely enjoy the convenience of their debit cards, just as they do their credit cards.
