Square, a US-based mobile credit card processor, has upgraded its credit card reader in response to the development of iPhone 5S.

According to a lowcards.com report, the company’s latest card reading device is 45% thinner and is more accurate in the way it reads cards.

To provide customers with hassle free swiping experience, Square created a series of custom parts for the device that maintained its size while still providing better technology.

The new Square card reader is also compatible with more phones and devices compared to previous design, according to the website.

The new device is now available on the company’s website and is expected to hit the shelves of 30,000 US retail stores beginning in 2014.
