WorldPay has announced it has acquired US card and payment processing outfit Century Payments for an undisclosed sum.

WorldPay is aiming to gain sales tools and analytics from Century Payments.

Earlier this month WorldPay announced a partnership with mobile payment providers Zapp to roll out mobile payments to thousands of merchant terminals and potentially millions of customers in the UK.

Earlier in the year WorldPay bought UK based card payments company Yespay, the financial details of which have not been revealed.

It August it was revealed that the eCommerce division of WorldPay saw a 45% increase of transaction volumes in 2013 compared to the first half of 2012.
