US-based company Affiliated Managers Group’s IT hiring rose 14.2% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 13.42% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 48.85% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 1.91% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Affiliated Managers Group IT hiring in August 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Affiliated Managers Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 93.84% in August 2021, and a 51.39% drop over July 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 4.91% in August 2021, and registered a decline of 34.85%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 0.68% in August 2021, a 20% rise from July 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Affiliated Managers Group

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 58.22% share, which marked a 54.87% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 41.67%, registering a 42.79% month-on-month decline. Middle East & Africa was the third leading region with a 0.11% share and a 50% drop over July 2021.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 55.82% share in August 2021, a 52.66% decline over July 2021. US featured next with a 37.21% share, down 43.4% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 4.45% share, a decline of 37.1% compared with July 2021.

Entry Level jobs lead Affiliated Managers Group IT hiring activity in August 2021

Entry Level jobs held a share of 48.63%, down by 53.59% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 30.94% share, a decline of 45.47% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Junior Level job ads with a 20.43% share, down 49.58% over July 2021.
