German supermarket ALDI Nord has extended its partnership with Fiserv to enable in-store card payments in the country.
The move comes after last week ALDI Nord decided to transfer its entire in-store acquiring volume in Germany to a new provider for its customers.

Initially, the card payments at ALDI’s supermarket locations in Germany were processed via TeleCash from First Data GmbH.
Now, Fiserv has begun processing the payments at over 2,250 ALDI Nord locations in the country.
Fiserv head of EMEA John Gibbons said: “With Fiserv, ALDI Nord is enabling a seamless commerce experience across payment channels, and empowering ALDI customers to make purchases in the way they prefer.”
ALDI Nord has been a client of Fiserv for more than 15 years.
