US technology giant Apple has made its all-in-one gift card available in Canada as well as Australia.

The Apple Gift Card, which was rolled out in the US last year, replaces the separate Apple Store & iTunes Gift Cards.

Earlier Apple provided two separate gift cards, an iTunes card for purchases on the App Store, iTunes Store, and / or to increase your iCloud storage. It also offered the Apple Store card for purchases at its retail or online stores.

The company has now combined these two cards into a single offering.

The integrated offering is known as the gift card for ‘everything Apple’.

It can be used to purchase products and accessories from the Apple store, apps, games, music, movies, TV shows, iCloud, among others.

Other Apple moves

Last year in June, Apple launched a new Apple Card programme to help build credit for those who have had their applications declined.

Path to Apple Card is a four-month, opt-in programme, enabling applicants to assess and improve the financial markers that made them unsuccessful.

The programme uses the information used by Goldman Sachs to determine credit worthiness and outline why they were declined.

In 2019, Apple and Goldman Sachs launched their virtual credit card to a select group of customers.

Goldman Sachs is the card’s issuer and also in charge of underwriting, customer service.
