Thailand-based Kasikornbank (KBank) has extended its partnership with smart card manufacturer dzcard to launch a new co-branded contactless debit card.
Under this partnership, KBank will use dzcard’s dual Interface EMV debit card to launch a newly-designed contactless debit card that comes with a credit line.

Dubbed as LINE BK Debit Cards, the new card has been launched by the bank in collaboration with social media platform LINE Corporation.
LINE BK is a social banking platform operated by Kasikorn LINE.
Kasikorn LINE is a joint venture (JV) between LINE Corporation subsidiary LINE Financial Asia and KBank subsidiary Kasikorn Vision Company.
KBank is targeting young LINE users by offering online spending and contactless payment capabilities via the new LINE BK debit cards.

The physical cards come in four designs, featuring LINE FRIENDS characters – Brown, Cony and Sally.
The product offers benefits including discounts on online platforms like Shopee, Lazada, Grab or Agoda, and more, and e-Coupons from top brands.
Consumers can also earn 0.5% credit cashback from each online purchase of a minimum THB100 ($3.33), and 1.5% interest on savings.

In September 2020, KBank tapped dzcard to launch a debit card dubbed as KBank x BLACKPINK Black Edition for Thai customers.
