Discover Global Network has teamed up with FOMO Pay, a Singapore-based provider of QRCode payment solution, to increase acceptance for cardholders globally.
The partnership will allow Discover Global Network’s cardholders to use their cards at FOMO Pay’s merchants across the world.

In its press statement, FOMO Pay said that the agreement is part of its strategy to positioning itself as a leader in “integrating new payment solutions for major financial institutions and merchants.”
FOMO Pay CEO and co-founder of Louis Liu said: “We are excited to work with Discover and offer this option to their customer base.
“Offering more payment solutions has always been our goal and this is also convenient for both merchants and consumers, especially those who like to travel without cash and wish to pay for these transactions easily.”
Discover senior vice president of global acceptance Amy Parsons said: “Signing an agreement with FOMO Pay is part of our strategy to partner with organisations that will help our cardholders by expanding our acceptance worldwide.

Following the agreement, Discover Global Network cardholders will be able to use their preferred payment method at many large-sized merchants’ businesses which are part of FOMO Pay’s extensive network.
Discover Global Network includes card companies and fund transfer networks such as Discover, PULSE, Diners Club International and affiliated networks.
It has more than 44 million merchant acceptance locations and two million ATM and cash access locations across the world.
Last week, Discover Global Network joined forces with British software company Sage to boost the acceptance of its cards in the UK and Ireland.
In April this year, Discover partnered with Global Payments to boost acceptance in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
